Keara Waldron joined Halperin, Battaglia & Benzija LLP in 2024 as of counsel.  Ms. Waldron’s practice includes representing debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, estate fiduciaries and other stakeholders in all aspects of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and other insolvency proceedings.  Ms. Waldron has advised clients across a wide range of industries in complex issues ranging from contract disputes, claims administration, preference and fraudulent transfer liability, asset sales, and in and out of court restructuring.  Ms. Waldron has extensive experience representing parties in adversary proceedings and other contested matters.

Prior to joining HBB, Ms. Waldron was Senior Counsel in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring department at Lowenstein Sandler LLP where she primarily represented official and unofficial creditors’ committees, trade creditors, debtors, and estate fiduciaries.  Ms. Waldron also previously served as law clerk to the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh, U.S.D.J.

Ms. Waldron is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science and American Studies in 2007.  Ms. Waldron received her Juris Doctorate cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2011.  While in law school, Ms. Waldron was recognized as a Distinguished Scholar and Public Interest Scholar.

Ms. Waldron is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as the Southern District of New York and the District of New Jersey.  Ms. Waldron has published articles and presented webinars on various matters of interest to trade creditors.
