Robert D. Raicht has
been practicing insolvency and bankruptcy law since 1986.
Mr. Raicht's practice involves almost exclusively representing and counseling
corporate clients in all aspects of debtor/creditor rights, insolvency, bankruptcy
and secured transactions. He has acted as counsel in bankruptcy litigations
and corporate and real estate transactions, as well as advised clients concerning
various partnership, landlord-tenant and labor and employment-related matters.
Mr. Raicht has served as counsel in numerous bankruptcy proceedings including
Aztec Services Group, Dana Corp., Oxford Automotive, ContiMortgage Corporation,
Daewoo International (America) Corp., The New York Post, Penick Pharmaceutical,
Inc., 500 West Monroe Limited Partnership and Gillis Industries, Inc.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Raicht
served as a law clerk to the Honorable Tina L. Brozman and the
Honorable Francis G. Conrad (sitting by designation in New York) in the
United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior thereto, he was an attorney with the Manhattan office of the U.S.
Trustee for Region 2.
Mr. Raicht is a graduate of
Hobart College (1983) and received his law degree from Fordham
University School of Law (1986). He is a member of the New York State
bar, and is admitted to practice before the district courts for the
Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Raicht has lectured
before the Second Circuit staff attorneys on various topics including
bankruptcy jurisdiction and other matters. He is a member of the New
